Hi, we’re Michael and Bobby and we would like to thank you for taking the time on your journey to learn a little about us.  When we met by chance through a mutual friend, we had no idea we’d be celebrating our sixteenth anniversary in 2009! Throughout the years, we’ve dreamed of becoming parents and find ourselves constantly talking of things we hope to do as a family.

Family is something that is very important to both of us. We both come from close families, and we’re never short on brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles or cousins. Family get-togethers aren’t limited to holidays and there are always little ones running around. We can’t wait for our child to be among them and our families are very excited for us to become dads. 

We’ve settled down in a small Pennsylvania town.  We’re lucky to live in the quiet of the country, that’s just 30 minutes from the excitement of the city. The things we love about our home include the big backyard for kids and pets to run and play in, (with plans for a future pool), the great friends who also happen to be our neighbors, the wonderful schools, and the park located just across the street. Our cat, Shadow, who can usually be found in a sunny window, has been described as the friendliest cat ever. Our two Labs (below), Brandy (left) and Kaylie (right), always happily greet us at the door, ready for playtime. 

We both enjoy our careers and we’ve chosen jobs that provide us maximum flexibility for raising a family. Michael works as an I.T. Administrator for a large international company. It’s the perfect choice for the guy who loves to fix things! Bobby worked in international logistics for 15 years, and is now in his clinical rotation to become a nurse. He loves that he can help people while still maintaining a flexible schedule to nurture his family at home.

We love traditions and the holidays. Every Fourth of July, family and friends gather at our home for a day-long celebration to watch the fireworks launched from the local park.  Each Christmas season, we decorate the house inside and out, and cut down our own tree from a nearby farm. On Christmas Eve, we enjoy brunch with friends, and we each open up one present before we go to bed. Christmas Day brings the big family dinner. We even like to make our own traditions, like never leaving to go camping without Oreo’s, and our monthly dinner celebration with our neighbors.

While our personalities compliment each other, they’re just different enough to keep things interesting.  Michael loves to tinker with his motorcycle and go for rides on sunny days. He loves to be outside and has a closet full of Hawaiian shirts to wear when he is relaxing. This is the guy to run to for home improvement projects, building a bookshelf, or starting a rain-proof campfire.  On the other hand, Bobby can whip up magic in the kitchen and can make just about anything from appetizers to desserts! He enjoys a variety of music, working in the garden, and occasionally sneaking off to shop for shoes! Together, we have become avid bowlers and even started a local community bowling league.

We also love to travel. We love going camping in the surrounding areas, taking trips to the beach and every couple of years we try to plan a big vacation to a new destination. Hawaii, Niagara Falls, Dominican Republic and Belize are just a few of our past adventures. We also have a lot of friends on the West Coast and we all gather in the Northwest each summer for an annual campout. It’s always full of fun, food, and most importantly friends!

We cannot wait to have a little one around to share our lives.  We plan to provide them with the most nurturing and rewarding life possible, filled with unconditional love and support. We vow to teach them the value of family and provide them with the tools to follow their dreams. We hope this short glimpse into our lives leads to a connection that will last a lifetime.
