Hello,

          First, we’d like to thank you for taking the time to get to know our family a little better. Having successfully been through the process with Adoptions from the Heart before, we appreciate what an incredible journey this truly is.

          We are Nicole, Colleen and Walker. We have been married for eight years. The day our son Walker joined our family was the happiest day of our lives. We are very excited about growing our family, and Walker is looking forward to being a big brother. Nicole is a chemical engineer. She grew up in New Orleans, and comes from a large family. Colleen is an artist, who owns an art gallery/custom frame shop. Walker is a smart, funny, energetic guy.

          We live in a beautiful small town along the Delaware River. As a family, we can frequently be found having adventures in the many parks near our home. The community we live in is very open and accepting. Our friends and family are thrilled that a new baby may soon be joining our family.

          Colleen essentially works from home, since her gallery is literally next door to our house. We are planning to have the new baby stay at home with Colleen instead of going to daycare.

          We feel honesty is so important in life, and that is why we are most comfortable with open adoption. Every child should grow up knowing their own unique story. While we cannot begin to understand how difficult a decision it is to make an adoption plan, we do understand what a brave and loving choice it is. Any child placed with us will be brought up in a home full of love where they too will understand and be proud of their own story.
