Dear Birth Mother,

Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents to your baby.  Your courage and selflessness is admirable.  We would like to take this opportunity to share with you a little about our lives, family, and why we choose to adopt.  We hope that after reading our profile you will feel that we are the ideal parents for your baby. 

Welcome to our story!

We have a happy, loving marriage of three years.  More than anything we want to be parents so we decided to start our family shortly after being married.  Sadly both of our babies were lost during the second trimester due to pregnancy complications.  We knew that our journey was leading us to adoption.

Adoption is a huge part of our lives already.  There are three little girls in our family who were all adopted from China.  Sarah, Ellie (Karen’s goddaughter) and Hanna have been a part of our family for over seven years.  They are such a blessing and we can’t wait for the day when we will also get to experience the joys of adoption.  We are looking forward to having a child in our home and experiencing all that parenthood has to offer. 

We are excited about adopting a child through open adoption.  We want to share your child’s life through letters, pictures and if you like, two yearly visits. 

We currently live in the same town that Karen grew up in.   Her parents still live in her nearby childhood home, and Scott, her younger brother, also lives in the area.  We are close to her family and see them weekly for Sunday dinners.

Karen graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and is an accountant for our local hospital. 

Always willing to help others, Karen is a very caring, honest person who has a love for life.  In her free time she likes to read, spend time outdoors, and take our dog Heidi for walks at our local park.  She also enjoys cooking and baking especially trying out new recipes.   Friends are also a very important part of her life.  Karen gets together with them every month for dinners and other special events. 

Ron grew up in a small town surrounded by his large close-knit family.   His aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents all lived within walking distance of his home.  We look forward to spending time with them. 

Ron is a route driver for a large vending company.  He is also currently pursuing his associate degree as a mechanical engineering technician. 

Ron is quiet, kindhearted, and a hard worker.  He always has a smile on his face and is very easy going.  He enjoys working out in the gym, spending time outdoors, and working in our yard.  Ron is a huge sports fan and loves attending sporting events; his favorite teams are the Steelers, Penguins, and Cubs.  He also shoots pool for a local pool team.    

We have lived in our quiet residential neighborhood for over five years.  Our community and the surrounding area have a lot to offer.  In the summer we attend concerts in the park, ride bikes on one of many bike trails, attend festivals, and swim at the local pools. 

We are not very far from a large city which we venture to quite often.  While there, we enjoy sporting events, shopping, and Broadway shows. 

 We want to thank you for reading our profile and considering us as adoptive parents to your baby.  We want to assure you that we will raise your child in a loving and safe home.  He or she will be loved, cherished, and given every opportunity that we can provide.
