Families Seeking a Caucasian, Asian, or Hispanic Child

Maureen & Eddy - Family #4116

Dear Birthparent(s):

Eddy & I have been married for 5 years.  We were introduced by my cousin 7 years ago.  We enjoy spending time with family & friends, going down to the shore, traveling, going to concerts, and playing sports.  We value family, friends, and education.  We can provide a child with a home.  By a “home”, we don’t just mean 4 walls and a roof.  Rather, a strong foundation in which a child can build his/her life on.  The child will be raised in an environment which is loving, caring, compassionate, nurturing, stable, and values family and education.

Eddy is a Health and Safety Training Supervisor for a manufacturing company. He trains employees on safety, administers benefits, recruits new employees, and leads his company’s wellness program.  He is also a certified trainer on Adult/Child/Infant CPR.  When Eddy is not working, he is keeping himself busy in a variety of activities.  These include playing sports like ice hockey and tennis.  He also enjoys jamming with his wife to classic rock.  He plays guitar and keyboard.  He also loves to cook. When he gets time to be lazy, you will catch him on the couch with a bowl of popcorn taking in a baseball, football, or hockey game on the television.  His favorite hockey team is the New York Rangers.

Maureen has taught and coached students at the middle and high school levels for almost 20 years. She is Vice Principal in her district.   When she is not working, she enjoys playing tennis, golf, bike riding, and playing music with her husband.  She’s been playing drums since she was 4 years old.  She also enjoys going to the beach and participating in and watching all types of sports, especially hockey. Her favorite team is the Rangers.

We are looking to expand our family.  As fate would have it, we cannot conceive.  We discussed the possibility of adoption while we were dating.  Our families are very supportive of our decision to adopt.  I have 2 cousins that were adopted over 30 years ago through a closed adoption.  Growing up, both of them had questions about their life story that cannot be answered.  We chose open adoption so that the child will better understand their life story.

We live in a suburban neighborhood.  It is safe, quiet, and family-oriented.  There are many parks and activities for children to participate in.  The school system is excellent.  This area has become home for us and we plan on residing here for a very long time.

We want to assure you peace of mind that the child will be given the love, support, and opportunity to explore his or her dreams and reach his or her fullest potential.  Thank you for reading our profile.  We wish you the very best in your decision.
